There are many ways to donate to our cause! You can donate online through our Support Us page, attend some our fundraisers or drop off supplies in person, both at the rescue by appointment or at one our donation points. We are always in need of dry goods such as bedding, frozen and live foods and cleaning supplies.
We do not currently operate with fosters, all animals join the rescue at our premises from their existing owners, animal welfare organisations or veterinary clinics. They are then rehomed directly to their new owners from us.
This is to ensure our quarantine process can be properly maintained at all times.
We have a simple, yet thorough, adoption process.
We do have a minimum donation amount, as detailed on the ‘Animals for Adoption’ page.
Please complete the surrender form at the bottom of the page for EACH animal you wish to surrender.
We currently operate a waitlist for surrenders as we are at capacity, so completion of the form will get your animal added to the list.
Once we have a space available we will then contact you by email to arrange for you to visit us and surrender your animal.
Emergency surrenders (I.e. the animals life or yours is in danger) should contact us by email with details once the form has been completed. Emergencies will be assessed and dealt with accordingly.
Found/ Abandoned animals should contact us via the contact form or WhatsApp message.
We hold volunteer induction days regularly. Simply
fill in the volunteer form on the home page and we will send details once the next available date is confirmed. No experience is required, just a can do attitude ❤️
Please note, for insurance purposes we can only take volunteers over 18, and cannot currently take work placements.
We have opportunities in animal care, and events/ fundraising positions. Of course most volunteers do a mix of both!
Our volunteers will be recognisable by their branded lanyards, which will be worn at all times when acting on the rescues behalf and at events. If someone approaches you purporting to be a representative of the rescue without such lanyard, please contact us for verification before handing over donations, animals etc.
At this time we’re not open to the public for general viewing, so visits are strictly by appointment for adoptions, surrenders and donations.
We do this to reduce the amount of stress on our residents by limiting the number of people in the premises at any one time.
As a rescue organisation we do not operate as a zoo or entertainment facility and do not want to disappoint people at the door.
We currently take in unwanted, abandoned and homeless pet reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates.
Exceptions are animals listed on the Invasive Species list, and some giant species dependent on space.
We do not work with cats, dogs, other mammals, birds or rodents.
We do not work with native wildlife.
We are not a veterinary facility and are unable to provide medical advice or treatments.
